Malformed .fit file

Hi all,

I have my first ever incident of a malformed .fit file and was wondering if anyone would be able to assist? I tried to use the Garmin Online Fit Repair Tool but had no luck.

Cheers in advance.

    Hi,

Completed a lovely 40 mile ride in the heat, but after saving the ride I just haven't been able to access the ride information even though it is listed under the rides. I tried manually uploading the file via Garmin and Strava but both flagged issues with the file.

Automatic repair via website didn't work (unless I was doing it wrong) and I did try looking at the csv file but didn't know where to begin. Is there something in particular I should be looking out for in a malformed file?

    Many thanks.

    • guess remove lines with strange values (no experience repairing via csv)

when you have a Forerunner 35

    • zip the fit file and drag & drop it into your new post

    when any other device

    • run your fit file through Fit File Tools's section remover (without any removing)

    still faulty result

    • zip the fit file and drag & drop it into your new post

Thank you so much for your help, the Fit File Tool section remover worked brilliantly. So pleased I was able to retrieve my holiday ride.

Thank you for being so helpful. Happy & Safe Sporting to you too. :)
