As I already wrote - the temperature measured by your device is irrelevant, since it is influenced by your body temperature (and other external conditions). Only the temperature shown on the map is relevant…

I assume it is one of these?

Can you confirm the extreme temperature on your activity and post a screenshot?

The activity must be an oudoor GPS activity (i.e Run, Walk, Hike, Cycling,...) and the temperature over 38°C must be shown on the map of the Activity. The temperature measured by your watch is actually irrelevant, since it is influenced by your body temperature, and by other external conditions.
