Which Vivoactive do you have? Can you view and edit user data on Garmin Connect Web? https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings/userSettings

Date and time is synched by taking the watch outside and completing a GPS activity, unless you have set to manual on the watch.

I tried your suggestions but no success. 

I can edit and safe all my data as on the website as well as in the app. But it will not be synchronised to my watch. 
in the watch i still have wrong values that I cannot edit on the watch. It does not save my changes. 
Also starting a gps activity did not change time settings. Yes, it is set to automatic. 

i do have a Vivoactive 4s.

Nope, only the vivoactive. 
It seems that it happened during the hacker attack when the server was down. 
i tried to synchronise, after that suddenly all was wrong and I cannot restore. 
I think I have to reset the tracker.

What I meant by that is that you could have multiple Garmin user accounts. It's especially common when users try reinstalling their app.

Do you see the missing data in the history of your device? If you do, you can force upload using USB cable and a Windows computer. Browse to the mapped garmin drive \Garmin\Activity and drag and drop it on https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data

That will upload missing activities, but not the data outside the activities, such as HR and steps. If you don't mind losing what's on your device, you can do a factory reset.

i do not want to loose my data so I try the USB connection first.

Hi again,

I can see all data via USB. But of course I cannot change settings because I cannot read the .fit format files. 

I also found out, my watch is only showing the time every 2 minutes. From 2:36 it jumps to 2:38. 2:37 is missing. 

So I guess I have to backup my activities via USB and reset the watch. 
I have no further ideas.
