Forerunner 310 XT - how to transfer files to computer only

I want to upload my data only to the computer, without uploading them to Garmin Connect. I know I have to use the ANT stick --- but which software will allow me to do this?
As far as I have found out, Garmin Express will store the files locally on the computer, but only when it is allowed to upload to Garmin Connect. If Garmin is down or there is no internet connection, Garmin Express will not transfer files just to the computer. Any advice?

Other than that, if you can find an old copy of Garmin Training Centre and ANT Agent you might be able to use it for this purpose without the need for an Internet connection.

I had some success with ant-ps in linux. Not sure if there is a windows version.

Thanks. I installed ANT Agent on Windows 10, but it gave me error messages ---- I assume some incompatibilities.

You might need an older OS to get it working. I can't remember the last time I used ANT Agent. Might have been on Windows Vista or 7
