OK, first up, I don't use the Connect/Express route much (as latter appears to have mucked up my 310xt GarminDevice.xml many times and am happy with local storage and old-school GTC). Hence not that familiar with interface or HOW it syncs.
BUT, getting a Garmin with RDynamics so was looking at it today. Planned to upload a FIT from /Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/.../Activities to try compare.
Was surprised to find several activities already on Connect which come from partner's Garmin. This is what I don't understand:
• includes her run today • this activity loaded via ANT to her Macbook • she doesn't even have Express on her Mac • and hasn't used Connect on that machine
• yet, when I log into Connect on my machine, her activities are there. (Mine aren't but then I haven't loaded Express so not surprised by that)
• Moreover, while each of her activities shows her Garmin model, my profile shows only device as 310xt.
How is Connect acquiring her activities? Shouldn't it be the case that these come via Express unless explicitly uploaded?
I clearly don't understand this so would appreciate some enlightenment!
