Auto Lap in fit file

Dear all,

last year I did a good run with my bike using an Edge 810.

Unfortunately I forgot to switch on Auto Lap (every 10km).

Ist it possible to fix the fit file (afterwards) to have auto lap all 10km into it?

Also heart rate zones are missing (why? I do not understand).

Can somebdy help?

THX

Beda

  • Dear OnlyTwo,

    many many thanks, perfect :-)
Now I have one stupid question.
This file is my record on fastest 40km: How do I replace the "old" file with this one and keeping my record?

And: Did you modify the height data and time? It shows slightly differnt to original file ...
Also weather data is missing :-(

Sorry for beeing so "picky" ...

    hi

export the the original from Garmin Connect Web

delete the original one and upload the new one from within Garmin Connect Web

And: Did you modify the height data and time? It shows slightly differnt to original file ...
Also weather data is missing :-(

win some lose some ... set fit data record setting to one second ... repair will be simple afterwards

this is how Fit File Repair Tool works, it deconstructs an rebuilds the activity from scratch

can you provide me your HR zones ? want to check something, because in the repaired ones HR zones are included

which one of the files did you upload ?

Sorry for beeing so "picky" ...

Slight smile personalty disorder you will find with any top athlete, otherwise they would not have made it that far...

    happy & safe sporting

  • 1. And this would recognize that the new one is now my record? Do not want to lose it :-(
    2. OK, understood. HR zones attached
    3. I uploaded the 2nd file (hope this was corrct one)

    • guess both will work ... just set second recording so in the future repairs can be done properly

Even if the record should get deleted by some accident, you can always set it back manually. The record table is editable, in GC Web, and there is also the option "Set as PR" on every activity page. Just do not forget to upload the modified records back to the device, if you ever change them, otherwise the watch won't detect correctly new records.

  • MANY NANY THANKS :-)

    Worked perfectly.

    Wonderful support here :-)
