Badge withdrawn

I have accepted the challenge for 10km run over the weekend July 10-12 and indeed have run over 10km on Sunday. The badge was seemingly awarded, but it has disappeared by Monday. However, it is still to be seen among the notifications of the top right corner. The earlier suggested editing ha not helped either. Can you sort out his problem? Thanks, Csilla

  • Can you sort out his problem?

Not really, since we are just users like you, but we can perhaps help you understanding why it happened. Basically there are two possibilities :

    1. either you mistakenly left the Challenge
    2. or you edited the Activity in such way that it no more meets the conditions for awarding the badge

To verify it, you need to enter the page July Weekend 10k and see whether the link in the top right corner of that page still tells "Leave challenge". If yes, then you are still in, and it is all right - do not click it! If the link is no more there, you left the challenge, and that's the reason why the badge is gone. There is nothing you could do to recover it, because the hallenge was already closed.

If it is OK, and you are still in, then make the 10k run Activity visible for Everyone and post the link to it here, so that we can have a look if we find something suspicious.

    Thank you Trux,

I have checked and I am not in the challenge any more. But it is still odd that I can just by chance leave a challenge that has been completed before. The proof is still in the notifications list, (dated Sunday) saying that I have earned the badge for the July 10k. But never mind,it was fun to run anyway. Best wishes: Csilla

  • Yes, you can leave even completed Challenges. Not sure whether someone really wants to do it, but it is so. You never know - people often have quite odd wishes.
