Why did I not get the July weekend challenge badge if I synced after 9h from when the challenge ended?

As written on the badge description, you need to join the July Weekend Walking Challenge, and to record a Walk Activity over 3 miles in the given date range. You did not post any screenshot with the Walk Activity, and you did not tell whether you joined the Challenge before the Walk.

Since the July Weekend Walking Challenge was already closed, you cannot join it now anymore, so if you did not do it when it was still open, the badge won't be awarded.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I joined the challenge on Saturday 4th of July, after I recorded a walking activity of 6.63 km, that is 4.11 miles.

I attached now the walking activity.

Try editing and saving the activity, changing the title or a minor detail. If an activity was not counted for some reason, "touching" it in this way, makes it being reparsed. If the badge is still not awarded, the you probably inadvertently left the Challenge in the meantime

I renamed the walking activity.

I think that the challenge should have dissappeared from My challenges section if I would have accidentaly dropped out of the challenge. 

I observed that under the challenge the text says: Gathering results.Is this because of the different time zone and in some parts of the world the challenge is not over?

Maybe that's why my badge was not awarded yet?

I wanted to attach 2 more screenshots but the option to do so is not displayed anymore in this reply.

I just got the badge, apparently changing the name of the walk worked, but it took a few minutes to receive.
