Personal Records

Is there any way to change the personal records from activities of a certain distance to just the best time you have for that. So as an example you don't have to run a "perfect" mile activity for it to count as your record, it just pulls it from your activities with your fastest mile. Kind of like power metrics on the bike just pull it from over your rides with your best 5 minute power and so on.

  • Yes, that's exactly how it normally works. I have plenty runs of some 8km, where I did new Personal Records for 1km, 1mile, and 5km, although the length of the activity did not match any of them. You just need to keep the watch and GC synced, approving new records in GC, and uploading them then to the watch. Because it is paradoxicaly the watch that detects the records, and not Garmin Connect. So if the watch does not have the up-to-date records, it won't detect new ones.
