So, my VA3 developed the white bubble in the screen yesterday. Called Garmin and started the replacement process. Very bummed about it as I was on a god step streak! I have an older Vivoactive HR, so I fired it up, connected it to my account and things started to move along nicely. It transferred all of my steps, activity minutes, etc to the older watch and I was happy.
Then I noticed that while I was collecting steps throughout the day, the display would suddenly revert back to the 5,748, the amount I had when I made the switch. No matter how many steps I got, I would never get beyond 5748. It was as if the app was overwriting my record on the watch.
So I stopped syncing last night and waited until today. I synced up this morning and my numbers for yesterday showed 5,748. BUT, my daily report graph shows something different. It shows me as earning 9,914 (which is very disheartening to miss my goal by less than 100 steps!) But the official number of steps earned for the day still shows 5.748.
Has anyone ever seen this before? I know there is nothing I can do about it, but I am curious, as I will need to do this again when my replacement watch arrives!
thanks!
