Manual Update of FTP on Garmin Connect (web and mobile)

I use a peloton bike and unfortunately it doesn't currently broadcast the data from the bike in a way that I can record it on my Garmin. I've done an ftp test and result of 320. I've updated this on my watch, but it doesn't sync that with Garmin connect. Since I don't have a power meter on my bike this has absolutely zero value to me.

I need a way to manually update my FTP in the Garmin Connect app, OR even better for it to sync with my watch. Does anybody have an idea as to how I can do this?

I've searched the forum and the guides for how to do this are several years old, so it would seem Garmin have taken this capability away from us users. Why?

Is there a feature request forum where we can request and upvote requests? Either that or get a statement from Garmin as to why they have done this? Is this about trying to force people to record things like this through their watch? I would if I could, but that's not an option right now as companies aren't working together.

Any help greatly appreciated

  • I've managed to get the .tcx files uploaded to GC from my FTP test. I've tried setting this ride as my PR for 20 minutes and I get an error:

'An error was encountered when attempting to create/save the Personal Record. Please try again.'

I have, and will on a different day, but I still get the same error message.
