How to edit an activity which is shown as multisport when it was a single activity / kayak

I accidentally recorded an activity as 'multisport' when it was a single kayak. This means it doesn't show up with all my other 'kayaks' for comparison on Connect.

The information contained is accurate as I can add together time / distance, so I could create it as a manual activity but I don't know how to bring the mapping information across - anyone able to advise?

click on the dark triangle to the right of "uncategorized" and it will show you the drop down with the activities to chose from

Simply change the type of the ativity to Kayak in Garmin Connect. Since you are asking on the GC Web forum, the type can be changed just above the Activity title, when on the page of the respective Activity.

I'm not sure which Connect I'm on but I tried this and it doesn't give me the option to edit this information. Just the event type, title and notes.

You can change the type of the activity in any version of Garmin Connect. Garmin Connect Web is a universal website on the Web accessible by a browser, while Garmin Connect Mobile is a phone app.

In GC Web the type is just above the title, as I wrote:

With the phone app, you select Edit in the menu of the Activity, and tap the Activity Type to change it.

Do you have the selection at other activities that are not Multisport? If so, then Multisport may not be modifiable in GCW (I cannot test it, since my device does not have the Multisport option).

Try it in the phone app. If not possible either, try editing the Activity FIT file with the Fit File Repair Tool

Indeed, that is the case. One can change the type of activity for the particular leg in a multisport activity, but the whole activity stays as multisport, no matter what.
