Garmin connect error uploading tcx

Hi,

I want to upload data from Nike+ into my Garmin account. I get an error while trying to upload a tcx file for a run on garmin connect : "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again". I searched on the forum but nothing solved my problem. It seems i cannot upload a tcx file here on the forum so I will simply copy and paste it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Typically, files created from 3rd party sources are not compatible with Garmin Connect without some manipulation. Garmin expects the uploads to be from Garmin devices and will throw an error when the file is not in the standard Garmin format.

You should be able to zip the file then click on Insert > Insert image/video/file

Then change the dropdown to File Upload and upload your file

I imported your file into plotaroute then downloaded the result, and imported into Garmin Connect. Showed up as a 5k activity. Is that what you want, or did you want it as a course to follow vs an actual activity that you completed?

Thank you for your reply ! Yes I would like to add it as an activity. The problem here is that the pace, the duration and the calories are completely off...

No, it was recorded with my phone on Nike run club

Do you own a Garmin device? If not, other than running it through various 3rd-party tools will get you some of what you want but you won't get all the data you would normally get from syncing from a Garmin fitness device.

Yes I made the switch to Garmin several years ago. The idea is to upload my "before Garmin" data to have it all at one place.
