If you're using a Windows computer, connect the Garmin USB cable to your watch and your PC, then open D:\GARMIN\LOCATION. Copy the LCTNS.FIT file to your computer.
If you want to view your locations, I find it easiest to use Garmin's Basecamp software which is a free download from Garmin. If you're not familiar with Basecamp, there are forums here for Windows and Mac.
