Can't View Data for "HRV Stress" - Garmin Forerunner 945

I have a Garmin FR 945 and have been using the "HRV Stress" App (i.e. the 'accurate' measurement that requires the chest strap, NOT the general "Stress" measurement in Health Stats).  I see from the mobile app under "Performance Stats" -> "HRV Stress" that 'something is recorded, but I would like to access the numerical data in the app or other method. Note I have enabled the setting on the watch "Physiological Metrics" - "Log HRV" -> ON.

So I would like to obtain numerical data for previous HRV Stress measurements via the Mobile or Web app but have the following issues:

1. I can only view the numerical result from the HRV Stress test at the time of measurement, the Mobile Connect app displays a bar graph of current and previous measurements but can't view numerical data in Mobile Connect app.

2. In Web Connect app I don't see any information at all under the the "Reports:" -> "Heart Rate Variability

In short is this a "feature" or a bug for the FR 945, or is there a workaround.

  • The data shown on the Daily Summary in Garmin Connect Web is HRV Stress. The only difference when you measure the HRV Stress with the chest strap vs the built-in sensor is, that it is more accurate than with the OHRM, but the data should be shown on the same two graphs. Test it simply by disabling the internal OHRM, while using only the chest belt. The stress data should continue to be recorded on the graphs, and when you move the mouse cursor over the bottom graph, you can see values at any time point of the day (with the sampling rate of 3 minutes).
