What's the best way to access lap details?

I record a mix of HIIT/circuit/crossfit style workouts and strict cardio. For the years I've had my Garmin, I've tracked HIIT workouts as Strength activities so I can define exercises and delineate those activities from runs or other cardio-specific activities. Looking at lap data is one of my main uses for my fitness data, both in the workout itself and to compare to past workouts.

Garmin recently made a change to Connect that removed the 'Laps' tab from all Strength activities, the one that used to be next to the 'Stats' tab that's displayed by default. I'm assuming the lap data is still there since I can check the 'Laps' button on the map and visually see my laps, but I can no longer see lap times, average HR, etc.

Garmin confirmed this change and suggested I record my future activities as either Run or Walk, and while this works, their change is retroactive, so I can no longer see that info on the hundreds of activities I've recorded in the past. It's also not possible to change the type of activity retroactively, so I can't go back and reclassify my Strength activities to Run.

So, any suggestions on the best way to display lap data, short of maybe exporting, manually changing, and then importing every activity?
