Activity won't upload to Garmin Connect

Hi,

I bought a second-hand Vivomove HR last week.  It recorded and uploaded last night's run so I know it was all connected correctly.  I ran a half marathon this morning which I saved on the watch and I can see it in the file section on the watch but it won't upload the run to Garmin Connect, or Strava.  It's synced my steps, heart rate etc, but not the actual mileage.  I've deleted the app, re-installed it, turned Bluetooth off/on ... I don't know what else to do?!  I don't want to reset the watch as it will lose the run.  This is my first foray into the Garmin world and I have to say, I'm really not that impressed to be honest.  Someone please help me?!

  • Download the activity file(s) over USB from the folder //GARMIN/Activity/ and import them manually to GC Web at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data. And then make the master reset (fatory reset) of  the watch. It may still be associated with the original account, or there may be still data of the original owner, so the master reset should be always the first thing to do when purchasing a used device.

What if there are no files under activity when looking on desktop? I have a new vivomove HR and I can see the run under my activity folder on the watch but not on the connect app, not on Garmin express, I’ve signed out/signed back in, disconnected the device from the app, turned off Bluetooth, restarted my phone.  Has anyone else had any luck? Weary

If you can see the activity in the Activity folder, why do you ask about the opposite case? If the file is there, do as I wrote - import it manually at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data
