Anyone else prefer Polar Flow over Garmin Connect?

I've switched between Polar products and Garmin, but keep coming back to Garmin because the hardware offers more (and is ANT+), but it seems every year I go and try Polar because I really like the Polar Flow layout much better for analysing data. I was a long time Polar user back in the day and always have felt they have better analytics. I've tried training peaks and Golden Cheetah, but they just don't do it for me. Anyone else think the same?

  • The smartwatch gps etc. is better on Garmin. But aplication is better as Polar Flow. You can record your activity directly with the Polar Flow without smartwatch. By Garmin you need Strava etc or a programist...

  • That's why I am not able to leave Polar.

Plus add that design of Polar sportwatch is sleek and "elegant" not too sporty or bulky.

  • Same here.. Used polar for many years, first time I got a garmin mainly just because of a brighter and bigger screen.. but I am rather disappointed and confused about the Garmin Connect app. Polar flow has everything you need in a structured and clear way.. Garmin Connect App is way too confusing..  The watch design is up to individual taste but surely the polar watches seem to be more stylish and unique..   I may just have to return this beautiful Garmin and wait for hopefully a better iteration of Vantage V3 comming out soon.

    For me never again Polar!

Before Polar Flow, the platform was polarpersonaltrainer and I owned a RC3 GPS. Then in 2018 Polar decided to close polarpersonaltrainer and switched to Flow even though my device and some other devices aren't compatible with Flow.

    https://newsletter.polar.com/newsletter/global_en/PPT_closing/ppt_gen_distributor/index.html

Polar: "*Please note that Polar Flow is not compatible with the following products: polar FT series, FA series, RC3 GPS, RCX series, RS series, CS series."

Since polarpersonaltrainer was required to sync and change settings on the device, my less than 2 years old watch was unusable after closing polarpersonaltrainer. OK, they offered me 15% discount on a new polar watch, but they've destroyed my trust in this company for good.

They also wanted me to manually transfer my several hundreds activities from polarpersonaltrainer to Flow.

So, Polar is done for me, once and for all times. You can't trust in this company.
