Multi Sport Tracking how to total each sport

If I do multi sport tracking on my walk - run - walk - run etc. sport event, how do I see the total time/distance for each walking and running? We are doing the same event 3-4 times a week and the goal would be shorten the walked distance and make the running parts faster. What is the best way to track this?

  • One possibility is to record the entire activity as Run, either using the lap button to delimit the running and walking intervals, or using the Interval function in the Activity menu on the watch. When then saved and synced, you can edit the Activity in Garmin Connect Web, click the button Edit Intervals, and assign the intervals different types (i.e. Run and Other or Cool Down). Now, when you save the edited intervals, and view them, they will be grouped and summed up by the type.
