does anyone know if i can manually adjust my step count. i added a manual activity but the step count doesn't adjust to this knew activity or mu intensity minustes?? is there nother way to record this, im new to Garmin and with fit bit you could do these things?? Help!!!

  • I had the same issue with a 6 night hike. Change your step goal to < 3k in the app, then set the date/time of your phone back to the day it only recorded 3k steps and it will pick up that you "hit your goal"

  • I also having Issues, Wildly Inaccurate Steps

This is actually why I moved from fitbit, UGH, LET ME CORRECT STEPS!!!!!!!

I work on my computer while running/walking on a treadmill with Intelli - Step (counts every step on the treadmill)

  • The watch is counting steps by the movement of the watch. Since you are keeping your watch very still steps are not counted correctly. Put the watch in your pocket or strap it around your ankle.

  • Thank you! Good suggestion on the ankle.

As a Nurse, my mind goes to people with disabilities that don't necessarily use their arms or need to use adaptive devices. It would be nice to have an adapter for the hip or foot that works together with the watch.

  • Also I wonder which position on the ankle would be best?

  • I don't think it matters. The watch measures steps in any direction it is moved.

My Instinct measures accurately even on the treadmill. Don't you hold on the handlebars, while running? If you need to hold on them, attach the watch to your ankle,

I'm working on my computer, not accurate.

Tested the ankle thing and seems to work

  • Garmin devices are tracking steps. Garmin does not allow to edit daily steps manually. Garmin devices are used by some companies to measure steps of users to provide them some benefits. Garmin devices ARE NOT providing correct data about steps made by users because users loose the data when they synchronize it after midnight despite the fact that the data still exists in the device and the evidence can be provided! Example: Garmin Fenix 3 HR synchronized 30/06/2022 is showing 0 steps in Garmin Connect for day 29/06/2022 but is showing 19842 in History in the device which is the correct number of steps. Why can't it be synchronized after midnight? Why changing date on the telephone with Garmin aplication deletes current number of steps? Why changing date in application affects data on the device at all?!
