I'm wondering why Quickdraw data is not available on some sea areas, below is example of the sea between Sweden and Finland, no single trace on sea, only inlands. There is certainly more traffic and also Quickdraw contours uploads on sea than on those lakes... (I have also uploaded countless of files from sea, but none is visible.)
This seems to be quite old topic but I also faced this issue. My maps from sea area are not visible. Anyone has any info about this?
I'd like to understand this as well. It is seems pretty systematic. Why is this?

Certainly because of legislative reasons. Ask your government, and/or the governments of the neighbour countries 
Garmin doesn't really bring this up when selling these devices for example in Finland, just normal texts about how amazing the sharing functionality is.
It is listed on their website - I found it there quickly, despite knowing nothing about Quickdraw.
