How do I remove calories in/out feature and just go back to active calories?

How do I remove calories in/out feature and just go back to active calories?

  • This was such a pain! Here is what you need to do:

    1) On Garmin App: Click the Three dots ("More"), then Settings, then Connected Apps, then Disconnect MFP. Then Sync your device.

    2) In MFP: Click the Three Dots ("More") then "Apps and Devices" and find garmin and disconnect. Then Return to HomeScreen and click the three dots again, then scroll down to click the "Sync", and let MFP Sync.

    3) On Garmin Connect WEBSITE: log in. Select "Health Status" on the side navigation menu, then click "Calories In/Out" and select "Disconnect My Fitness Pal" towards the bottom of the screen, and then select "Disconnect".

    4) THIS IS THE KEY: LOG OUT OF Garmin Connect app on your phone. Then Log back in!!! (Garmin Connect App will actually re-find and re-pair with your device... don't worry all of your data will pull back up as soon as it syncs/pairs... and the original default "Active and Resting" Calories will be there instead of the In/Out!!!

  • See my response below! Hopefully you arent still having this issue but just in case, the below instructions DO work and worked for me when nothing else would. The key is doing all 4 steps though!

  • I was having the same problem as calories in/out started to display on my Garmin Connect App dashboard all of the sudden (albeit without even properly pulling the MFP app data in). What is even more weird is that I don’t recall originally connecting the 2 apps. Anyway, I did as suggested and removed MFP from the connected apps under settings in the Garmin Connect, and now the “regular” Calories panel is back (resting + active = total calories).

  • Garmin Connect app, go to the Menu Bar (Android) , Next, tap Settings>Connected Apps>MyFitnessPal. Then disconnect.
