Is it possible to add an "Gear type"?

Is it possible to add an "Gear type"? Now i can only choose "shoes", "Bikes", "Golfclub" and "Others". For example I lik to add the type "Sail" or "Board" for windsurfing.

You cannot add a gear type. You need to add the gear not matching any available types into the category Other.
