I seem to have two separate garmin connect accounts with the same email.

I got a Garmin watch here in China last October, and have been using the Garmin Connect app with it with no problem ever since.  Today, I wanted to connect my Garmin Connect app with my fitness pal, but my log in information would not work.  I double checked and the email I was using was the email I was logged into on my phone, but out of curiosity I went ahead and tried to create another account using the same email, and it actually let me do it.  I started to think that maybe the email I was seeing on the app of my phone was for something else, so I logged out on my phone to log back in with the email that I had just created,  and it is obviously the same account that I have been using because all of my data is still there.

When I try to log in with that information on my computer, it logs me into an account with no data at all, which is obviously the same account I created earlier today.  This seems impossible and I am very confused.  Could me being in China have anything to do with any of this.?

    I'm not sure how it's happened but I appear to have two accounts with differing access to my activities.

    Only on one I have no access to view the activity data.

    Is there a way to amalgamate it?

    one i log in with alex1rob and the other my email [email][email protected][/email]

    I don't remember signing up twice.

    Any ideas?
  • You can export the activity and then import it into the correct account.
    However, not having access could be an issue that needs help from support.

    My activity of last saturday is ok on the app and Strava but is missign on the webapp

    One possibility is that the web account uses different ID than your phone app. On the phone app, go to Menu » Settings » App Diagnostics and note the Displayname code. Then open the web interface, click your avatar in the upper right corner, and select the option View Profile. Now compare the ending code in the address line of the browser, with the code from the phone app. If they are not identical, you have two differrent accounts, and need to use the same one on both sides. You can log out of the web account, and log in back using the identification from the phone app.

    Another possibility is to follow the instructions from this support document

  • I had that happen to me yesterday for the first time. A floor climbing activity appeared in the app but not in the web. I ended up importing into web Connect to fix it. What I noticed is that the elevation graph was blank on the activity details so I'm thinking there may have been some sort of corruption. 

    A subsequent running activity transferred as normal.

    I am having similar trouble right now as well.  I seem to have two accounts but both using the same email, I have no idea how that is possible.  It is keeping me from connecting my garmin to 3rd party apps.

    I believe that I have two different accounts, but they are somehow using the same email address.  This does not seem possible, but both are using charliewagner44@_____.com but the one on my phone has all of my data but the computer has nothing at all.  I tried your suggestion and they are different names as well.

    Any suggestions?

  • Do you have 2 user names? That'll do it.
