Hi there

I can't import attached gpx file in Garmin Connect.

I kindly ask for your help.

  • It imports all right. You cannot import it almost certainly because you are trying to import it as an Activity, while your GPX file is not one. You need to import it on the Courses page (see the Import link at the bottom right corner of the white window).

Thanks, it works, but it only import a very small bit of the whole file. 0,34 km it should be 84 km.

  • Create the track directly in Garmin Connect, or in another program not sectioning the track. There is a countless number of programs for the creation of GPX tracks, and some of them may do weird things inside the file, that cannot be interpreted accordingly by Garmin Connect. Hence if it does not work with one application, try an alternative one (or use native Garmin products)

    Thanks, will do :-)

  • You can try Plotaroute.com for example - I have no personal experience with it, but it was hailed by couple of people on the Instinct forum, for example. Seems to work as well for the waypoints, as for the turn-by-turn navigation.

  • It's been a while since you had this problem and I just had the same when importing a .gpx route with several stages. The best solution I found to work around it was to use Garmin Basecamp soft on a desktop. Import the file, then upload the whole route to your device/watch when it's connected with the cable. All stages and data goes in. Hope this tip may help the others as well. Cheers!
