Calorie consumption low in MFP when using Garmin

Hi,
I am using MFP to log my food. For step and exercise counting I used Fitbit in the past, but now have switched to Garmin. The calorie adjustment from steps and exercises seems to be much lower now - yesterday I ran 10.5km for which 891 consumed calories are shown in MFP; however, the total step count is a little more than 16.000 and for this I get a negative calorie count of -473. This looks odd. With FItbit there was also some negative correction at the beginning of the day, but no further reduction from exercises.
One more point: in the Garmin app (which also gets the food intake information from MFP) a completely different amount is shown

Best regards,

Sascha

Steps are irrelevant. Garmin devices with a heart rate monitor calculate the burned Calories by comparing your HR during the activity to your average resting HR. If the resulting Calories do not meet you expectations, then you either did not wear the watch 24/7 and it could not properly acquire your average resting HR, or the HR monitoring during the activity did not work correctly (you may need to check the fit of the watch).
