When did Garmin institute a limit on the number of Connections we can have?

I apparently have reached the 1,000 limit and I can’t accept any new Connections.  The message suggested I delete some, so I deleted a few but I still can’t accept new Connections.

    This is an annoying limit since I don't want to delete any of my current connections, and I'd like to make new friends too. I contacted Garmin and a representative told me that we need to have more people to contact them and suggest to have the limit removed. Let's get our opinions known to the company.

    I too have had the same issue. Ive emailed twice about it. Such a stupid thing to introduce where the connections is part of the reason for having the app ie creating and accepting challenges

    Yes, doesn't make sense.  Facebook has no limit.  And it seems maybe it was recently implemented because I have over a thousand Connections already.  That's why when I deleted a few, I still couldn't add new ones.

    Just create a group (or multiple ones) and have signing as many people as you want. The Connections feature was designed for close friends and family, while for broader groups of participants in challenges, the Group feature is much better suitable and offers also other features.

    Besides others, using Groups, also allows you to tune up the privacy settings finer, and not having anyone who requests a friendship with you, being able to watch when you leave the house, and break in - method more and more used by thieves.
