Incident detection text alert

I'm having issues getting the text alerts during a detected incident , the email comes through but no txt message. I have checked that the contact number is correct but still no luck, I have tried several different numbers but no luck. I have vivoactive 4.

This seems to be a problem with many Garmin devices.

Any help please

Did you verify the app has SMS permissions?

Try if sending an SMS from the watch really works - enable answering SMS notifications, send you a testing one, and then answer it from the watch.

Hi trux

Ok I sent a sms from my wifes phone to myself and it notified me on the watch, I then replied from the watch and it sent that reply back to my wifes phone. So looks like that is working.

Hm, are you telling the email is being sent? Try testing it with an emergency contact without an email address, just with a phone number, to see whether it works in that way. It should send an SMS anyway, but just to exclude this possibility. If it does not help, you'll need to conctact the support and ask them for assistance.

Yes to date im telling it to send both sms and email but only email is going through, I will remove the email and test. I have been onto Garmin support but they are very slow replying
