Garmin Edge 200 - is coming up with "Memory Full"

Cannot get my device to stop showing the memory full on the screen even though I have cleared all history etc including odometer. This is a real pain as I cannot now save rides as a result. I bought a new edge 130 but it is nowhere near as good as the edge 200. Anyone out there got any ideas to help please.

See the pages 8 and 9 of the User manual of Garmin Edge 200

"The Edge can save at least 130 hours of ride data with typical use. When the Edge memory is full, a message appears. The Edge does not automatically delete or overwrite your history. See page 9 to learn how to delete history"
