Rest vs Recovery in workout, and average metrics

Hi guys,

I read some old threads, but I can't find the solution to this problem.

From my understanding, when creating a custom workout:

- Rest is supposed to be 'no active', so no distance or pace should be taken into account

- Recovery is supposed to be 'active' so the workout is considering all the metrics in the summary

Am I right? Because it makes no difference using Rest or Recovery in a custom workout. During intervals, for example, no matter what, the workout still keeps track of the distance during the Rest phase, while I'm just stretching or walking in place.

I mean, okay for the HR, because it's very useful even when I'm resting, but what's the point for the average pace and distance in the summary, if it does include the Rest?

Any solution to this?
