Forerunner 620 - no compatible devices found when sync training

Are you speaking about a Workout, or really a Training Plan? If you mean a Workout, what type of workout is it? Run, bike, pool, custom, or else? Some categories may be indeed limited to just some types of devices, due to a different structure of data.

Can you post a screenshot of the Workouts page with the list of your workouts? Also, did you connect the watch by the USB cable and started Garmin Express?

BTW, you can create Interval workouts also directly on the watch:
