"Time in Zones" ignores custom zones for running activities

Connect for web activity "Time in Zones" ignores custom zones for running activities. It works fine for walking and cycling. The result is that nearly all my running activity is shown as being in zone 5.

This bug surely cannot be too hard to track down and fix?

  • OK, in that case it seems to be hardocded. Perhaps check on the watch whether you can adjust the max HR. My device settings screen is entirely different, so cannot really help with the testing.

  • yes - Max hr can be adjusted on the watch, but it is already correctly set to 195.

  • BTW, originally I purchased the FR35 too, so still have it as "retired" in my GC, but cannot access its settings anymore. Anyway, after testing it for 2 days I realized it was a too old and too limted smartwatch. I went to the store and exchanged it for the Instinct, which was only some 40€ more expensive, but by several levels better. It is almost as good as Fenix 5, but really inexpensive. I can only recommend it.

  • Damnit! I was perfectly happy with my FR35, but now I want an Instinct.

  • For me the main decision point (besides the FR35 being outdated) was the fact that Instinct supports swimming, and is rated to 100m, so that I can make some snorkelling with it too. Besides that, it has many many other feauters not available on the FR35 (i.e.maps, navigation, music control, and much more). OK, it still misses some features of Fenix 5 (i.e. payments, VO₂, IQ...), but it comes already pretty close. And it is also considerably lighter than Fenix 5/6, while well rugged and shockproof
