He mean - there should be additional category for those badges. So you can show or hide them all.
And I agree. Now all badges are mixed.
Would be good to be able to hide some categories.
.
And this is…
It would make sense to have categories for badges - if someone wants to use them, then one could see them all. Now when it's mixed it's even hard to tell how many of those Marvel badges are.
First…
Same. Need to filter out badges that aren't relevant or of interest to you. Even a way to block (and unblock) specific badges would be a win.

There are already Marvel badges:
As a non-Marvel user, I'd tell it is already much more than enough

And this is really strange. Garmin don't see problem with listing badges not compatible with user device. But at the same time they hide regional badges which could be earned on user device.

First suggestion was not to hide them, but to group them. So you see those badges exists, but you could filter them later or show them all together to get them all.

About regional badges - it's the same thing. Why hide them, just write it's for selected region. Some users didn't know about badges for their region and had wrong region set.
What's also strange, they hide only some regional badges, some are visible for everybody.
And as long as official rules don't specify region - it's not cheating. It's just bug if some badge wasn't awarded to user who meet all listed requirements which are even translated to many languages.

Anyway the available tab should list: all badges or only badges possible to earn by given user (limited by region or device). And there should be nice categories in that tab, to make it more readable.
Yes, mostly valid arguments, though there are certainly many much more important issues with the app that need to be handled with higher priority than some filtering or categorizing of badges.

Do you mean the badges for local events, like marathons, etc? It makes sense to show them to all, because a lot of people is willing to travel to participate on such events, so it serves as a promotional tool.
I was thinking mainly about events like: Chinese New Year's Eve or Year of the Rat. Those badges are visible for everybody, some other regional events are not.
But true, local races' badges are quite the same thing.
The same way someone can go for local race somewhere, someone can want to celebrate some local event, or just read about it to know more about other cultures. Majority won't go for local race/event, but some will.
Exactly this way I learned something about Chinese Zodiac, because it was presented in some games or here as badges. If exotic events should be hidden, then this one should be too. For me it's more exotic then some other events which are partialy celebrated in my country, but badge for them is hidden.
Chinese New Year's Eve or Year of the Rat.
Those are global, not regional, hence visible to everyone. Probably because the Chinese live everywhere.

Well, before presenting this event in games I had no idea they have animals matched to years nor when exactly it takes place. It wasn't celebrated in my country. The best you could see was short info in news that it took place in China.
So, I'm against hiding events badges, as it's not Garmin job to guess which event is more popular in given country.
They should only make categories - for Marvel, Regional etc.
You can now hide the watch model based badges from the list of available badges with the help of local overrides of Garmin Connect:
You can also hide any other badge from the Available Badges list - you just need to add a unique keyword from the description of the unwanted badge into the gcoHideBadges parameter in the settings.
