HRM - Dual band issue with the app

Hi, yesterday i bought the HRM band and i download the Garmin app to connect via bluetooth... after several times trying to connect my HRM band i realized it wont work because is not compatible...
Literally Garmin should mention that is NOT compatible with the GARMIN APP.... pretty lame.. why would you wanna buy a Garmin HRM band if it wont work with the Garmin app.... i don't get it, they should fix this ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone has a solution, for this... please let me know.

I have the same issue. The dialogue about connecting the diver pops up but when I tap on Add device nothing happens.

You have to link the HRM directly to your Garmin device (watch or bike computer), not to Garmin Connect.

I know that and I use HRM dual with my watch. But during activities like boxing I cannot have my watch on the wrist so I wanted to connect HRM dual with Garmin connect app

I does not matter. Just keep it within 10m, in your bag, for example. The HRM needs the device to send the data to.

Actually it maters. I’ve tested it that way and it only has reach for 2 meters with the watch. I’ve also tested with Polar Beat app on the phone and only this way it gets reach more than 2 meters.
