Data leakage: access to seller's activities

I bought an used Fenix 6 watch on 2020.01.07. The seller disconnected the watch from his profile. After the purchase I connected my watch to my profile, and I discovered in Garmin Connect Web, that I see the seller's all previous activities, Please check, what can be wrong.

You can check the activities concerned in my profile: all activities before 2020.01.17, which are connected to a Fenix 6 (Vivoactive 3 was my previous watch.)

PS: Sorry to open a new topic for this, but I tried to contact to you 2 times through chat, which is stuck at "Retrieve config", and I didn't found email option.

  • Perform the factory reset (look it up the user manual of your watch, or in the menu of the watch), and only then set up the watch with your personal data. If it was used, and you have bought it as new, you could ask for refund. However, this should have been done by the reseller, even if he sold it to you as used, or as a model from exposition.

For the Fenix 6 go to Menu>System>Reset>Delete Data and Reset Settings. While the previous user did disconnect it from his Garmin Connect account he did not delete the activity history on the watch so when you added the watch to your account Connect saw those activities and thought they were new activities you did.
