How to sync Rouvy data to Connect?

I have the same question and situation. I can manually download/upload it every time but it would be a big quality of life improvement to automate it. I end up waiting all week to upload to Garmin otherwise and all of my Garmin Forerunner 945 Insights etc are incorrect.

That would be a good question to ask at Rouvy. Any 3rd party can apply at Garmin for the access to their API, which would enable such data exchange. Garmin Connect has the API already completed (for example Strava uses it), so other 3rd parties can negotiate with Garmin similar API licensing conditions like Strava has.

BTW, benny75 tells the syncing works with Strava. Can't you simply sync it to Strava, and having Strava sending it to Garmin Connect?

You can connect your Garmin watch with your trainer and then you can record the training in Rouvy with your watch. The watch records all the data from the trainer (power, cadence etc). Your watch synchronizes then with Garmin Connect automatically. Only drawback is that the watch records a little less distance than the Rouvy app. But that’s may a calibration topic. I use Fenix 3 and Saris Hammer with Rouvy.

As i have written above: just connect your watch to your bike training unit and record your training additionally with your watch. Configure your watch that it synchronizes every training directly with Garmin Connect. 

How do you link Rouvy to Strava with automatic sync?

how is Garmin going to record the real-time speed since you are now on a direct drive smart trainer which means you don't have the speed sensor.

If record manually with your watch no detailed speed and no height differences are synchronized with Garmin Connect. Only average speed, average distance, average power, duration, detailed power and detailed cadence:

Speed = Cadence x circumference of the wheel. So i think it would be no problem to calculate the realtime speed when you take a 28" wheel as a basis.   

If you want to have the complete data set from your workout you have to export your training in your Rouvy web account to a .fit file and import it into Garmin Connect. Works fine but this is a little inconvenient. 

I just want to collect general information about my workouts so using the watch is fine for me - but it depends on your personal use case for the data. 

Can you explain, how do you connect garmin swatch with rouvy? Is it live or just upload after the training? E.g. I have Edge 830 + vector 3. Can I connect it to rouvy directly somehow? Is there some broadcasting feature? How it looks like from rouvy interface?
