Am a Garmin newbie (Fenix 5s plus) so forgive me if I am asking an obvious question. I normally do running training intervals with a ladies group however only find out the specifics about the intervals once I get to the training or sometimes even during the training as we often play it by ear. So the type of interval normally isn't known till the last minute and neither is the exact distance as we train in parks or on roads.
What is the best way to track running pace on such training sessions? Do I just press 'run' and 'stop' buttons each time I start and stop running or is there another way that would allow me to track each part of such an unpredictable workout as a whole session? I looked into 'open intervals' thinking this was an option however could not find enough information about this.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
