Corrupt tcx file help

I have a tcx file that has uploaded to GC but will not to strava, stating corrupt data due to time or date.

I found lots of fixes and help with fit files but none for tcx.

Hopefully the link below should be the file if not i can email it.

Any help much appretiated, was only a short ride btw.

seemingly a lot of support for fit file repair...

BUT I have sorted my problem out, many thanks for your help.

As I found the problem I was able to open the file in notepad, edit the faulty information…

I was able to upload your tcx file to my Strava, but only after fixing it by running it through plotaroute.com

Create >> Upload a route
D'LOAD >> Download
Upload the new file to Strava.

This fixes the timestamp issue, but times were moved to 12:00AM

Thanks for your help. I have just tried that and could not seem to get it to work. It downloaded to my computer but strava does not like it. I am trying to upload it as an activity rather than just a route btw.

Thanks that does work but looks like it has added an hour on to the ride time and seemingly distributed over all of the segments resulting in some laclusture timing.

When I looked at the tcx file itself it looks as though one of the time entries the date has lept forward to 2039-08-14 @13.42.53pm

Which is where I assume my problems are coming from...

In that case, suggest posting your file into this thread. It's an ongoing 7 year-old thread for repairing all kinds of activity files.

Sorted, strange how it would upload to GC but not strava.
