Unable to Send Workout from Garmin Connect to Device (Swim 2 watch)

Hello. I created a custom pool swim workout on Garmin Connect for my new Garmin Swim 2. However, when I click "Send to Device" I get the following error message. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can correct this problem? Thanks in advance.

The message below reads: The address wasn't understood. Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (connectagent) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context. You might need to install other software to open this address.

  • What OS are you running?

Anyway, the workout should get transferred to your watch as soon as you sync the watch, either with the mobile app or with Garmin Express.

  • I am running Android. When I watch Garmin Swim 2 tutorials Garmin Express isn't mentioned. Just Garmin connect.

Garmin connect is the app on my Android phone and also my desktop.

So when I am at my desktop using Garmin connect and I try to send my workout to my watch I get that pop-up box that says unable to connect.

Still not sure why I am getting that error message on my desktop.

  • What OS are you running on your desktop? Do you have Garmin Express installed? I think the reason for the error message is that Garmin Connect website running in your browser (firefox) cannot do the sync with the watch (because firefox doesn't know how to talk to a garmin watch), and tries to run Garmin Express, which I assume you don't have installed.
