It recorded a VO2Max on my first mtb activity then it doesn’t update any following activities. I get that it’s just estimate based on speed, heart beat rate, weight, and rest heart beat, but why not provide the estimates on every activity? Garmin actually indicates that it would do so if power meter is used. My guess is that Garmin just wants to sell more power meters?!!
On my Fitbit app, it calculates the VO2Max on every cycling activity. Accurate or not, it’s great to see the trends.
Why would Garmin decide to not use the software feature that’s already there? To tell you the truth, there’s no chance I would buy a Garmin over-priced power meter device.
It’s your call to have more happy customers or not. The market will judge you Garmin.
Just my 2 cents
