Badges and Level disparity

So I know there's more to life than collecting points and badges that mean nothing, but I'm bored and they've motivated me to go and do some new activities and milestones.  However, there needs to be some more repeatable badges aside from the challenge and 60 day step goal ones.  Half marathon isn't repeatable?  There's no MTB repeatable badges?

Also, a lot of badges are tied to, or made easier by certain watches.  *** the Darth Vader watch gives a 2 point repeatable badge every activity that gains more than 200' of elevation!  And the Rey watch gives a 2 point repeatable just for Yoga.

  • Sure, that super easy repeatable badges only for limited watches are so lame. This makes the badges system really unbalanced. There should be easy repeatable badges for everyone or for nobody, to keep levels comparable.

There was a thread about it.

  • Oh I didn't see that thread.  Whoops.  It's a little frustrating for me as a MTB rider because a 8 hour 100km off-road ride isn't a badge-worthy accomplishment, but a marathon or road bike ride that takes half the time is.  And watch-specific badges are just cheeky.  I'd get two points for pretty much every ride I do if I did it with the Darth Vader watch instead of my Fenix 3.

Appreciate that this thread is 3 months old, but I agree. It's annoying that someone can get 2 points for every 90 min run but I don't Disappointed

Wondering whether I should return by fenix 6, and get the first avenger watch.

  • You think the more expensive watch would get more badges!  But maybe its more about the "fun" watch having more.  I don't know.  I do wish there were some more badges though, and maybe some more repeatable badges.  I sort of stopped worrying about them now.
