Body battery sync multiple devices

Hi Garmin users,

I have a problem with the sync of the body battery with the use of multiple devices.

During the night I wear my Vivosmart 4 for sleep tracking, during the day I wear my Fenix 6X for daily tracking.

During the night my body battery charges to 100% but in the morning when I switch to my watch it does not sync the body battery.

This way I always start the day with a more empty body battery.

Other things like Heart rate or daily steps sync perfectly between the devices.

I set my Vivosmart 4 as main tracker because of the sleep tracking with Pulse Ox.

If I set my watch as main tracker my sleep is not recorded correctly.

Already called the support but the answer was not clear, in other words they could not explain why this is not possible.

Wearing two devices during the day is not an option for me and a bit silly.

Are there more people with this problem? Is there a solution? How do I get this problem under the attention of the Garmin software developers?

Hope to hear from you guys.

In the mean time enjoying Garmin every day!

  • Come on Garmin, this should be easy. My marq will not sync with other devices. I should not have to start my day at 60 body battery!

This my problem too, assumed I could use the Vivosmart 4 to sleep and my watch during the day, this lack of sync functionality seriously lets down an otherwise decent system!

  • Yep same problem here with VS4 and Fenix 6x, I guess it's to do with preferred activity tracker setting which you have to have as the one you want to sleep with. Please look at this Garmin. BlushBlush

  • I use a Vivoactive 4s during the day and the (smaller) vivosmart 4 at night. The body battery stats do not sync well. Recently, I started getting a "gap" in the app where the BB doesn't record at all on the app but is shown on the watch.

  • Same here... I just got Lily to wear during the day as it is so small and elegant, but I still track activities requiring gps and my sleep with vivoactive 4s, which is my preferred device. It really sucks there’s no overview of body battery in the app...

  • Same problem here with a vivosmart 4 and a Fenix 6x pro Solar. Strangely the correct values are calculated on the non standard tracker device and even stress is synchro and shown correctly in the body battery view. Face palm

very disappointing to see this basic requirement not being solved for 2 years and being a former Polar User where multi device synching is not an issue at all.

    this sucks, Garmin.

  • Body battery is not something that is synced with Physio TrueUp: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=EjPECQK58qA0xzJ5X74vm7

So, Garmin never stated that it should work and so everyone that is missing this function should request it from Garmin. Not just write in this thread that Garmin probably never looks at.

    There are two ways:

    Submit ideas: https://www.garmin.com/forms/ideas/

    Support: https://support.garmin.com/

Make request both ways. Request that body battery and stress are added to Physio TrueUp.

  • Isn‘t Physio TrueUp and TrueUp intended to synchronize between devices?

Body battery is not even recorded to Garmin connect from more than one device.

and sorry, years into cloud infrastructure meanwhile I think it is a common requirement to have multiple devices being synched.

I made the request both ways.

  • If you look at Physio TrueUp you only see performance values. Health values (like stress, body battery, sleep etc.) from activity trackers are not listed. Garmin has designed the devices and system so you should only have one activity tracker and not switch between them. For performance values you can have as many devices you like as long as they all support Phsyio TrueUp.

  • Sorry, that is not true, stress and sleep are synched from multiple devices to Garnin connect. The weird thing is, the body battery diagram even shows the synched stress from multiple devices during the gap for body battery.

Additionally body battery drain is being calculated during activities. If it is only calculated on ONE device, that does not make any sense. How do you ever track body battery drain using an Edge while cycling then if you use a watch or wristband the other times?
