Body battery sync multiple devices

Hi Garmin users,

I have a problem with the sync of the body battery with the use of multiple devices.

During the night I wear my Vivosmart 4 for sleep tracking, during the day I wear my Fenix 6X for daily tracking.

During the night my body battery charges to 100% but in the morning when I switch to my watch it does not sync the body battery.

This way I always start the day with a more empty body battery.

Other things like Heart rate or daily steps sync perfectly between the devices.

I set my Vivosmart 4 as main tracker because of the sleep tracking with Pulse Ox.

If I set my watch as main tracker my sleep is not recorded correctly.

Already called the support but the answer was not clear, in other words they could not explain why this is not possible.

Wearing two devices during the day is not an option for me and a bit silly.

Are there more people with this problem? Is there a solution? How do I get this problem under the attention of the Garmin software developers?

Hope to hear from you guys.

In the mean time enjoying Garmin every day!

  • Same problem here, i use VS4 as primary and FR945 seconday, the body battery is totally messed up, syncing only parts from each device...

I have this issue too.  I've not found a solution either.

  • Same here. Have smart 4 as main and vivoactive as daytime, because who sleeps witch such a big watch?

True up should solve the problem but that seems to be found nowhere.

I just ran into the same problem, I wear the Forerunner 245 during the day and wanted the vivosmart 4 to track my sleep and update the body battery so it would be more accurate on my watch (which I don't want to sleep in). It doesn't sync the body battery though, so I'm returning the vivosmart. This seems like a big fail on Garmin's part

  • Returned my Vivosmart 4 couple of weeks ago. No point in having one when a simple thing as combining data doesnt work. Will see if i perhaps buy it again for a lot less money when Garmin fixes the problem. Ive gotten a Withings Sleep Mat which tracks  my sleepmetrics for now.

  • This is an idea I had yesterday, I aspire to getting a Fenix 6x this year if I can afford it and thought it would be sensible to have a Vivosmart 4 for sleep and around the house, so I was wondering if this would work, sad to read here that it doesn't, this is an issue I love Garmin to resolve

  • Same problem. VS4 while sleeping, F6S during the day. All metrics sync well but not body battery. Please Garmin, give that situation a solution!!!

  • I have this same issue. I wish they would sync.

  • Me too - I want to buy a Fenix 6 as I find my Forerunner 245 to small a watch for everyday use.  Great for running but not as my main device.  Not syncing Body Battery data is preventing me from buying the Fenix.

  • Same problem here using new instinct solar and vivomove 3

Body battery graph only displays data from the periods I am wearing my "preferred activity tracker"
