Menstrual Widget not updating to Garmin Connect

Question

I have a FR945 and have been using the menstrual tracking widget but I find that the data entered on my watch doesn't update the data on my phone so is essentially lost rendering the effort and the widget useless. 
 I like the ability to enter the data on my watch as it's always available and I don't worry too much about the specifics. 
 Garmin, please fix this so the widget isn't rendered useless by data loss.

if you fill in your symptoms on your watch you don't need to click only on the "V" sign to log symptoms (then the logging does not work), but first you need to click on the symptom itself. Then a "-" sign appears above the symptom on your watch and then you press the "V" sign to log it. Then you will also see it on your connect app.
