Garmin Connect : Cannot connect to Facebook

Former Member

Hi,

I have recently purchased a Garmin Instict and during setting up the watch on Garmin Connect, I tried to connect it to Facebook as well.
The connection with facebook is properly but when I select facebook, it's displayed "Some of your data could not be loaded. Pull down to refresh"

I've pulled down for a couple day, but the result is always the same.

Is there anyone can rectify for the issue?

(PS. I've logged out and re-login Garmin connect and Facebook application twice but it displays the same result)

Thanks in advance,

Tum

I've had the same problem for roughly a week, since I've bought my device, either on my phone or my computer it reads "We could not connect to your account. It looks like a temporary issue. Try again later."

  • I have similar issue. I tried it again and it connected to facebook on my mobile app, but if I go to Garmin connect website, I cannot see the facebook button, so I cannot see my friends. It's kinda annoying and I don't really know what to do with it. Same goes for mobile app. I am connected to facebook via mobile app, but I still cannot see any friends with garmin, even tho I know some of them have it. I have to search for them manually. This picture below is what I see on the website. There is a facebook button missing. And I know it's supposed to be there, because my sister has the same watch (forerunner 645) and she sees the little blue facebook button right next to the search icon.

    Any ideas?

You could try loging in into your account on the computer of your sister. If it worked all right on her computer with your account, then the problem is almost certainly in some privacy settings in your browser - for example cookies settings, anti ad plugins such as AdBlock PLus,uBlock Origin, etc, or some anti-virus software.

  • I already tried this. I even tried my boyfirend's computer, work computer, different browsers, desktop, laptop, still don't see it there, that's why I find it bothering, everything seems to be right even though it's not.

  • Same problem, also in Czechia. Connections via Facebook doesnt work for Garmin.... there is an error message. With the information that development knows about it - but still nothing happens. It's very annoying, I think we are somewhere very low on the To Do list.
