Can´t manualy sync gramin connect to my edge 810. (IPHONE) sync greyed out

I have a Garmin Edge 810 SW 6.30 and Garmin connect APP version 4.21.0.19.

When you start the Iphone Garmin Connect App for the first time, the sync happens. The app shows the edge it´s connected with the green circle. The sync icon spins for a while but then goes greyed out and Is not possible click on that icon to manually sync again.

To force sync, I need to close the app, and start again, or, close the bluetooth connection and start again on the edg 810 to force the app connect to the edge.

This is annoyiing because, when i try to send a course or segment to the device, it shows a message that the segment will be available when it completes sync.

Will i have to close and restart the app everytime? Why is not possible manually sync?

My wife is experiencing the same issue with her Edge 520. I’m disappointed that no one has responded to your post. Have you found a solution? If so can I ask you to please share?

One of the reasons might be that the question was asked on the wrong forum. I believe that you'd have a better chance that someone helps, if you asked on the forum dedicated to GC Mobile iOS, instead. People here are not all necessarily familiar with iPhones.

Hello, Well... i can´t say that was resolved by the Garmin staff, but after some IOS updatings on my iphone, the sync came back again and it´s working fine now. A few times it takes long to sync and you have to manually find the device again. I thing the issue can be on the iphone´s bluetooth handeling, bacause i´ve tested in my soon´s android phone, and it worked at time! My iphone is a 7 model, and there´s a known issue with bluetooth and wifi sometimes. Sometimes i even can´t connect to my HK speakers, sometimes the wifi is lost. Go figure... My cousin has a new garmin edege 530, and he´s was getting problem with the sync at the same time that i was it. But his iphone is a 11 model one. I told him to get the ios update, it came back too. Try to update both iphone and garmin. If you did all of this, try to test the sync in a android phone. You´ll know who is the problematic one.

Thanks! Pretty sure she's up to date but I'll double check her iOS version and make sure.

    Cheers.

Check the Garmin Edge update too. and then,  try sync in a Android. If works in  a android at the first time, is not the Edge.

    Try this:

1 - with garmin edge off and far away from iphone, delete garmin app on iphone.

2 - in the list of bluetooth devices on iphone, forget the Garmin.

    3 - Restart iphone.

4 - donwload garmin connect app again. While this, turn garmin edege on. and turn bluetooth on garmin.

5 - start garmin connect app on iphone. when prompted to connect bluetooth, pair both devices. Find out if its working.

i did this so many times and some many manners to work.

By the way, I´ve synched a few minutes ago, worked flawlessly now! both garmin and strava.

PS: The most strangest thing is that while the garmin connect garmin app is sitll downloading the data from my garmin edge , my strava account already received my data and posted online first. Then, the green circle completes on garmin app, and then is posted. Strava is always ahead.
