I've had my Forerunner 245 music for a month and it has the most recent update. The Bluetooth connection with my phone is unstable, infrequent, and seems almost random. 95% of the time it is not connected. It will sometimes (not always) connect after a phone or watch reboot, after I leave/return to a room, or when my earphones are connected. There is no on-demand connection; the watch is always "waiting for the phone" and the phone is always "not connected."
In the meantime, the watch seldom alerts me to incoming phone calls, texts, IMs, etc. Only in rare instances when it's randomly connected. Very frustrating.
I've checked garmin help, forums, and reddits for solutions. I've tried/checked many things to no avail. All of the settings seem correct, it's just that the watch is seldom connected.
I have a LG V20. It connected flawlessly to my FR235 for years.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
