REQUEST: Badges to show compatible device list.

As subject title = would be handy to see what devices would let you get the gravel ride badge for example or the flying squirrel one etc, also if anyone from garmin does actually look at this:  please fix the photo orientation in GC web, its ridiculous!   Many thanks

  • My conjecture is that ANY garmin device will do. Just record an activity of type "Other" with the cheapest and simplest Forerunner 35, or even a Virb camera, and then in Garmin Connect change its type to "Wingsuit flying" or "Gravel cycling", and hey presto! The badge is there!

  • If that works, it's abrilliant.
Also dumb (the dumb part being that it takes that to do it)

  • I would like to see badges list compatible Garmin devices as well.
I have been looking for Wingsuit Flying on my Fenix 5+ with no success

  • There is no such thing as badge compatibility. Unless a badge description explicitly states that a particular device is required, then ANY badge is compatible with ANY device.

  • ANY badge is compatible with ANY device.

Well, almost. There are just some exceptions, requring a specific feature that not all devices have, and that cannot be entered manually - like for example the badges Well-Oliled Machine and Highly improving needing the VO₂Max feature, the badge Brick requiring that the device supports multi-sport activities, or Yin and Yang badge requring pedals with power sensors.

  • There are a few badges only available if you own the Star Wars or other themed watches.

  • That's exactly what  wrote. You do not need any list for these badges, because it is written directly in their description. And practically all other badges are independent on the watch model (with very few exceptions that I already listed)

  • True enough.
And you can always save the activity on your device as other, then edit it and change the activity type later in Garmin Connect. (I learned this today from another answered question)
