Cycling TSS values have become inflated in the past couple of days. Suddenly they're 125-135% larger for a given ride than they were before. Anyone know why?

I've been comparing back to the values that I get in Strava, and they're way to large all of a sudden

I have the exact problem for about a week now when compared to TrainerRoad and Strava. All the sudden TSS is extremely inflated and my FTP setting has not changed. I checked

  • Someone forgot to square the intensity factor, IF, when calulating TSS. The correct formula is TSS = IF^2 * 100 * duration. Recently, they've dropped the squared term and are reporting TSS as IF * 100 * duration.

  • (I found that values on my Edge were correct.) Seems like someone in Garmin noticed and fixed it today in Garmin Connect
