Ability to add distances for personal bests in Running Activities?

As of 2019 have Garmin FINALLY facilitated the ability for runners to input acknowledged ultra distances such as 50K, 50 Mile, 100K, 100 Mile or any other arbitrary distance? Having it jump from Marathon to simply "Longest" is idiotic in this day and age. Particularly as there will be many of us who run "longest" distances quite regularly and would like to track them in their own individual self-made categories.

  • I also think that that there should be a "Longest distance in 12 min" and "Longest distance in 1 Hour" in the personal bests.

I  am syning my activities to endomondo and I can go here to see these numbers, but I don't understand why I have to use a 3rd party app to see these numbers since all data goes through Garmin Connect.

If endomondo can show the data why can't Garmin?

    Regards,

  • I'm in the military. We use 2 mile and 5 mile runs as fitness measurements. Literally everybody in the military and law enforcement and athletes in many other disciplines need this feature to train for specific events. We need this feature!

Stumbled about this post, because i am looking for exactly this feature!

  • Hi. It's me again. Can we please add the capacity to create a specific goal. We in the military have different events that we desperately need to track over time. I'm in the Army and we use 2, 4, and 5 a ton. Marines use 3 miles for their PT test. The Air Force uses a 1.5 mile run. And the Navy... hell I don't know what they use... but it isn't the stuff you got! Is it that horrible to add a little spot for us to make a custom distance record? My buddies in the police force and fire departments have different requirements. There are millions of us... plus tons of other people that maybe run a circle around their neighborhood and want to check it for time. For the love of god... please help us!!!
